All Saints Sourdough Workshop
All Saints Sourdough Workshop
Learn to bake two delicious All Saints treats found in Kendall’s book, Bake & Pray. But instead of baking them with instant yeast, as the book teaches, Kendall will provide you with the recipe and instructions using your natural yeast starter (which is often called sourdough).
You’ll also learn a bit about the history of this holiday and the two treats we’ll make (Ecuadorian Guaguas de Pan and Portuguese Pao de Deus).
We’ll gather on October 29 from 8-10 pm ET.
The Advanced Sourdough Workshop series builds on the sourdough lessons learned during Lent Sourdough. These workshops are appropriate for those who have completed Lent sourdough, or who are comfortable maintaining and baking with a sourdough starter.
Each workshop is purposefully kept to an intimate size so that all participants can use video to ask questions and troubleshoot their baking concerns. Participants will also receive access to the Baker’s Table Facebook group, where they can post photos of their progress and ask questions as they work their way through each recipe.
You will receive an email 48 hours before each workshop with the recipe, Zoom link, and instructions to prepare for the workshop. You will receive another email after the workshop with the recording playback link and any follow-up instructions.

Behind Edible Theology
All of our programs are developed by baker, writer, and food and theology scholar Kendall Vanderslice. They are purposefully designed with an ecumenical audience in mind, drawing on the rich history of Christian tradition in order to understand the full power of bread and the table.
