Are you looking for an opportunity to slow down, bake bread, and connect with community this Lent?

The Bake & Pray workshop is for you.

We will gather at a private home in Sherborn, MA, (just south of Natick) for an afternoon of rest, prayer, and of course, baking bread. The address will be provided after registration is complete.

The Bake & Pray workshop is Kendall's signature workshop. Over the course of our time together, you will learn to bake a simple loaf of bread—along the way, though, you will learn how to use your time in the kitchen as an opportunity to meet with God, and you will explore the ways God is revealed to us through bread, both in Scripture and in Christian tradition.

Over the course of our time together, you will learn all the steps for making a simple loaf of high hydration, long fermentation bread. You'll go home with a batch of dough ready to bake the next day as well as a completed loaf of bread.

Optional: add on a signed copy of Bake & Pray: Liturgies and Recipes for Baking Bread as a Spiritual Practice for just $15.

Event is appropriate for ages 12+. Please reach out to us at admin@kendallvanderslice.com if you have any questions.

Behind Edible Theology

All of our programs are developed by baker, writer, and food and theology scholar Kendall Vanderslice. They are purposefully designed with an ecumenical audience in mind, drawing on the rich history of Christian tradition in order to understand the full power of bread and the table.
