Reserve your spot in the Lent Sourdough community! We'll get started on Ash Wednesday, February 18, by mixing up our sourdough starters together while reflecting on the parallels between dust and flour.

Over the course of six weeks, you will bring your starter to life and learn all you need to know to make a beautiful loaf of sourdough bread, as well as an enriched sourdough for cinnamon rolls, hot cross buns, and more.

The Lent Sourdough program includes:

  • a downloadable workbook of Scripture readings, prayers, reflection prompts, and podcast episodes to guide you through your Lenten journey
  • five live Zoom workshops with Kendall, all workshops will be recorded and the playback link sent out for those who cannot attend live
  • a digital community to share your bread wins (and failures) and troubleshoot all your baking woes

OPTIONAL: Add a packet of dehydrated sourdough starter to your order here. While this is not necessary to get your starter going, it can help a lot!

Our Zoom workshops will be held on:

- Wednesday, February 18, 8-9 pm ET (Ash Wednesday, mixing up a starter)

- Thursday, February 26, 8-9 pm ET

- Thursday, March 5, 8-9 pm ET

- Thursday, March 19, 8-9 pm ET

- Wednesday, April 1, 8-9 pm ET (Holy Week Wednesday, prepping bread for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday)

Some participants choose to attend every workshop live, engage heavily in the group, and bake every recipe week by week. Others choose a more relaxed pace, watching the recordings as they are able and only engaging in the group when they have a pressing question. Your sourdough journey is yours and yours alone—you are welcome to join us no matter how much you are ready to engage! It's sure to be a rich experience.
